Practical ways to approach conflict through dialogue, creativity, and non-violent communication.
Cyclo Project ryPAST PROJECT / 2023 / Berlin, Germany
Non-formal education for recognising hate speech and supporting human rights.

The training addressed youth workers, teachers and trainers seeking ways to discuss hate speech with young people. It introduced the No Hate Speech Movement and considered human rights education, internet literacy and online protection. Another aim was to examine the relationship between freedom of expression, hate speech and violations of human rights.
The programme proposed tools for online and offline campaigns and explored how bloggers and young people can support human rights online. It aimed to help participants sustain information campaigns and encourage safer internet use. Participant feedback describes discussion of hate speech in both digital and everyday settings, as well as practical work developing project content and materials for sharing what was learned.
