Questioning information
The training aimed to strengthen the ability to judge information quality and recognise bias and manipulation. Media literacy was treated as a practical concern for everyday life and youth work. Participants were encouraged to look beyond first impressions and consider how incomplete or misleading information can influence their understanding of a subject.
Decisions and reflection
The objectives included practical communication and decision-making tools, reflection, feedback and ideas for future activities. Participant accounts describe examining different media and weighing causes and consequences when making decisions. Workshops also provided opportunities to reflect on personal experiences and projects. The emphasis was on practising careful thought together in a non-formal learning setting, rather than accepting information without examination.
